Well it is all over now, just need to get my act together and organise the photos for posterity. I can do that part but when it comes to writing down the information, I am not really good at that, so I am hoping that someone will write up something that I can put in the scrapbook. I guess maybe I will ask dad as he probably has the time and is good at writing things, unless someone else would like to have a go. I guess I will send out an email and see what happens. I am going to endeavour to put some photos on here, I know Jo does it so I am going to give it a try.

AUGUST, ONE MONTH TO GO!!!!!!
Well here it is August already. The time is going so fast or should I say this year is speeding by. How are the plans going??? Looks like we should have a successful reunion. I hear people are going to attend. Great stuff.
I will be posting instructions on where to go and how to get to the place we are holding the reunion. Only thing we have to hope for is that the weather will be kind to us. Check your mail boxes!!! Cheers Peta

FAMILY PLANNING
Well here we are in May and before we know it September will be here. I have spoken to a few family member regarding doing something to introduce themselves to the rest of the Rollo Crew. How are you all going with your ideas??? Not really come up with anything. Well personally I am going to hand it over to my two youngest girls to organise something. I guess that's called ' passing the buck'. I feel they would do a better job than me and will probably come up with something good (hope so anyway) Put your thinking caps on or use your kids. I will need addresses of families or maybe not. Somehow I will get details of venue to you soon. Hang in there and get EXCITED!!! it will be a great experience I am sure. Cheers Peta

UPDATE OF FAMILY REUNION
The school holidays are now over yet again, went by all to quickly. Today is a holiday for ANZAC day. Strange really because we celebrated that yesterday. Oh by the way Jodie HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today.
I have some more updates for those who may be following this Blog. I will send out information to those who don't.
The decision has been made to have the reunion at Whiteman Park Recreation and Conservation Reserve which is situated in the suburb of Whiteman. Many of you may have heard or have at sometime may have visited the place. I checked it out during the holidays and was very impressed with the facilities there. I have take the liberty of booking an undercovered area called the Pavillion. It looks suitable for the event. Starting time will be 10.00am to whenever. The Park has alot of extra things that would be suitable for young families, older families and those who feel they are really old. (A state of mind I would say!) Some of those activities are: train ride, tram ride, basketball and tennis facilities, a huge fenced off playground, a swimming area for younger children, a lolly shop (a must to visit) craft shop, motor and tractor museums, bush walks, bike hire and paths to ride on, wildlife park, print shop and lots more. The picnic areas are all grassed, barbecues are provided. Also there is a Cafe.
Entry to the park is free and some of the activites cost. All the activites are run by volunteer organisations so I guess the need to charge to keep there displays up to scratch. I will post maps and information out to families so everyone knows where to meet.
Foodwise, I think if we bring our own picnic lunch or barbecue items, drinks etc. that would be the best way to go.
I would like each family to do something to share with everyone else. I am thinking something like: a song, a poem, acting. (gosh this could be a real FUN day!!!!) Something that will let everyone know who we really are and how we fit into the 'Rollo Clan '. Okay that looks like all for now. If you read this blog and know family members who don't please let them know how they can check this out. When I come up with some more crazy ideas regarding the reunion I will let you know. Cheers everyone!

In The Planning Stage
Hi everyone, I hope everyone has taken the time to check the blog out. I would like to here from those who have read this if you are considering coming to our reunion. It would be nice to see if you are coming.
Possible plans for the day are:
commencing at around 2pm with afternoon activities. Possibly a bouncy castle for the young at heart. Maybe bowling (on the green type) Maybe some team games and then for the older family members maybe just sitting around remembering the old times!!!!
Will keep everyone posted on what we come up with.
The evening will be a meal, possibly a spit roast type of meal with some nice sweets.
If drinking you will need to supply that, we will probably come up with a punch during the day.
In the evening maybe some line dancing or whatever everyone wants to do.
Possibly a power point of those who came to live in Australia. Might be a good idea if everyone could supply some family pics for this power point. These are just some ideas running through my head at the moment. So will keep you posted as more things come to light. If anyone has suggestions they are most welcome to comment on the blog. Cheers Peta
