HI everyone! Well here we are on a great journey over the coming months in preparing for the very first ever "Rollo Family Reunion". This reunion will be for the families of John Wallace Rollo and Peter Grenville Rollo. The date selected is Saturday 4 September. We are hoping that this will be convenient for everyone. We are hoping to have a very full day planned. The activities will be for all ages as we are aware there are some older, some not so older and then lots of young ones. We will take this in to consideration when planning. I have tried to get in contact with everyone and am still in the process of that. Thanks to Aaron for organising this Blog. This will be the place to come and check out what is happening. Please feel free to make comments and let me know what you are thinking regarding anything that I may post here. I am looking forward to having everyone come together and meet our wonderful families. I am sure it will be a great time. So until the next post, cheers everyone. Peta
HI everyone, had a conversation with dad re the reunion. It has been suggested by a family member that we have it at a park. I am thinking maybe Whiteman Park, I have been there a couple of times and the place is pretty impressive and would probably do the job. I have school holidays coming up soon so I think I may just make a trip out there and check it out. There are lots of family things to do and plenty of nice picnic areas and lots of grassed areas. So will keep you all posted as the planning continues. Cheers
Hi! I'm addressing you from Portugal. I was born here like many of my ancestors, but we are Rollos. The last ones who came here settled down after the Napoleonic Wars, but we've been around at least since 17th century. We are just a few in Portugal, but now I've just started to do some ratttle. Check my website, please:
